Fear Part 4
Subtitle: Fear About Our families
It is true in this century were in that one of the things
the devil attack the most are families. As the enemy priorities about our
families we as children of God need to priorities about our families, always
lifting up their names in prayer. Looking at the Animal Kingdom we can see how
animals especially Lions, how protective they are about their children, even in
cases where the lions must go and hunt you’ll find one remaining behind just to
protect their young ones from harm. Now if in the Animal kingdom, animals look
after their families like this how about us as children of God.
The only thing that a Man and woman can create which last
for eternity is a child, as we hold our children we must have it in us that
this is an eternal gift from God that we need to look after in a Godly way. We
must fight a good fight for our families not to fear but to fight every enemy
that is attacking our children and families. We must declare warfare and fight
in prayer, we all know how fearfully parents are when their children get to
their adolescence stage. Fear of what peer pressure can lead them to do, taking
drugs, smoking, early pregnancies and others, but even in such situation we
must not be engulfed by fear but fight for our children in Prayer. There is a
time when our children are at school, universities, we cannot always be with
them but with a strong prayer we can reach them wherever they are.
There is power in prayer, we can do so many things like
buying gadgets for our children but nothing will supercede the power of prayer.
In the Book of Job chapter 1: 2 – 5 v2 and there were born unto him seven sons
and three daughters. v3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three
thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and
a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the
east. v4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, everyone his day; and
sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them. v5 And
it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and
sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings
according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have
sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.
In the above scripture we find Job offering sacrifices to
the Lord for the sake of his children, offering these sacrifices for whatever
sin they might have done before the Lord. Job was doing a sacrifice for each
child, as he had 10 children if he had to offer a sheep for each one as verse 5
state according to the number of them all. I also believe as he was making
these sacrifices he was mention a name for each child, declaring to God with
this sacrifice I pray for this child and with the 2nd one for this child up to
the last one. So shall it be with us as we pray for our children we must
mention them by their names, covering them with a blood of Jesus cause we no
longer offer any blood sacrifices we have Jesus the perfect sacrifice.
Some of us our wives and others their husbands and not with
us, not saved like us, it is your duty to pray for your husband, pray for your
wife, instead of having fears of what might happen as your spouse is not saved
fight the good fight of faith For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places, so as a child of God
we have to fight. If there is something that you see in your family that is
un-Godly including strange behaviours as a child of God take a stand and fight
a good fight.
Maids, teachers are there but it is not their duty to fight
a good fight and protect our children, so we must be ahead of them, television
won’t raise our children for us, some parents they allow their children to
watch all kinds of channels or TV programs our kids end up attracting wrong spirits.
Children might not understand what they watching at their age but even in that
age they can attract wrong spirit. A good parent watch after the soul of his or
her children. Even gadgets we buy for our children it is in our right as
parents to continually check them to ensure our children are not exposed to
things that can destroy them
Single parents, you’re are not alone in raising that child,
you’re raising that child with God. Don’t say I’m a single parents so what can
I expect, cry unto God, when you’re cry God will hear you. It is a disaster for
a parent not to know the strong points and weak points of their children. By
knowing their weaknesses we know which areas we must prayer more in and also
knowing their strengths we can pray for God to strengthen them even more.
We must also stop prioritising our careers more than our
families. Some run after money, after careers in a way that we no longer spend
time with our families. Spending time with our families is not about having
money, with the little we have, we can start spending time with our kids,
families, take our children to eat out at their younger age, let them grow with
this in their minds kuze noma kuqhamuka umfana ethi uyaykhipha ingane
yentombazane ingavele isangane nomfana mekhohliswa usugar mama avele asangane
kuthiwa uykhishelwa ka Spur.
Psalm 127:3-53 Children are a gift from the Lord; they are
a reward from him. 4 Children born to a young man are like arrows in a
warrior’s hands. 5 How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will
not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates
As a parent I’m a bow, my child is an arrow, the direction
of the arrow is controlled by the bow. If the bow direct the arrow to alcohol
that where the arrow will go, If the bow points to ungodly TV programs that
will lead to strange behaviours that where the arrow will go. If the bow direct
or point the arrow to dishonesty, the arrow won’t refuse but go in that
direction. Therefore the arrow is guided by the bow to which direction to take.
Our children will go to the direction we point them, some children grow and
regret being born in certain families because of ungodly directions their
parents were pointing them in. We must direct our children to God through
prayer and Godly acts.
Let us not fear but fight the good fight, Pray for our
families, pray for our children and the Lord will intervene, God is faithful He
will hear us.
