Part 2 - Fear

REFERENCE SCRIPTURE: 2ND TIMOTHY 1 :  7 FOR GOD HATH NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR BUT OF POWER, OF LOVE AND OF A SOUND MIND

In reading the bible we can see a point where the Israelites faced one of their greatest obstacles which was the red sea, but God even in their greatest obstacle gave them a way through, in their fears God manifested His presence.

As children of God we must not fear to move into the unknown, into the land we do not know for when we walk God is always with us and He will do miracles, wonders for us as we move into a faith Zone. If we don’t move into the faith zone, we will not grow, we can’t grow if we are people with fear to step and do new things

God want us to move into the Faith zone, what I discovered is that Peter moved into the faith zone, moved out of his comfort zone, the other disciples were engulfed with fear, but Peter moved into the faith zone, moved out of the boat, what He did if it was this era we living in today Peter was going to be in the World Book of Genius Records.

Just like the Israelites when they left Egypt they were moving out of their fears, moving out into the wilderness, it was in the wilderness that God provided for them, He provided them with things they didn’t work for, food they didn’t prepare or bought. But we can notice they were moving into the unknown

It is when you move out of your fears that God will provide things that you didn’t work for, God will show that He is a provider for those who trust in him above their fears.

To come into the promise land we must know we must pass in the wilderness, in the wilderness it where there is no compass or roads to show you direction, the only source of Direction is God, God becomes a compass for us when we are in the wilderness, that when everything or move you will do, you will do it by trusting God.

In my studies I discovered that there are 2000 fears known or experienced by Human Beings, some fear Heights, some fear animals etc. Some fear even to start things , there is always that fear of what If I fail , but the thing that shocked me is to discover that Human beings are born with just two kind of fears , the 1st one is the fear of Loud noise, if you can make a loud noise near a child you will see a reaction of fear or being afraid , the 2nd one is the fear of falling , if uthatha ingane uyiphosa phezulu you will see the reaction, fear of falling, the child might not know what it is to fall but that fear is already there.

It only those 2 fears , all the rest as they can be counted to 2000 now are fears based on our experiences, fears we learn and accept them to become part of us
Looking to find the source of these other kind of fears we read the in the book of Genesis 3:10 that fear came after the fall of man, fear came from sin, it is the 1st time that the word fear is mentioned in the bible, that why God says He never gave us the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind.

The most challenging fear is the fear to start new things, fear of failure, as children of God this is the kind of fear we need to conquer. The greatest failure is not actually to fall, but it is to give up and lie down after falling. I like the scripture Proverbs 24: 16 (NLT) The Godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
So to fall is not the greatest setback but to fall and not rise is, we must never allow fear to hold us back

Failure has benefits that we can learn from it:
Failure causes us to explore and look for other arears where we can find success.  – Many people today who have found what their destiny is they tried many things before actually finding their success, some they even change careers until they eventually find what God has called them to be in life

Failure cause us to be less judgemental , it very easy for people who don’t do or start new things to judge others when they fall, but if you have experienced the fall you can relate and understand that falling is not the end , ngeke sikuzwe usuthi ‘ubethi wenzani koda, ewubani yena’, so failure also gives us, teaches us to be humble and  to be less judgemental
